Bord Bia is the Irish food board, responsible for promoting the interests of Irish food and drink producers around the world and interacting with a wide range of different stakeholder and interest groups, as well as external partners and potential customer groups. As part of their strategic planning process, the need was identified to provide capabilities development around critical thinking, fact-based decision-making and compelling communication skills to increase the perceived influence of everyone in the organisation.

In partnership with Tony Franco (Franco London) we designed and delivered a new capabilities course, designed around three modules, and delivered via F2F workshops and later, virtual workshops, punctuated with individual coaching sessions for all participants. The course was accredited by the Marketing Institute of Ireland and every successful completion of the programme rewarded with an individual accreditation.

Huge congratulations on bringing such an innovative learning opportunity to the Bord Bia community. This was a brilliant, brilliant experience, certainly one which I will always cherish. It not only enabled me to learn and practice new highly valuable skills but also enabled me to build stronger connections with many staff across the organisation whom I don’t work closely with on a daily basis. These opportunities are so important for fostering a culture of collaboration and a one team mind-set

I feel this was the most useful training experience that I have had inside of Bord Bia – its application to what I do in my day to day work was both immediate and impactful
