RICHARD OLDHAM - FOUNDER & PRINCIPAL

Following a foundation in advertising account planning with Ogilvy&Mather & DMB&B, Richard spent 15 years building a successful career in strategic brand consulting, designing & leading significant collaborative projects for blue-chip clients in the UK, Europe & internationally, including Nigeria, China & the U.S. This work encompassed innovation strategy, brand positioning, long-range strategic planning, idea generation, innovation funnel-filling & claims strategy / development.

Richard founded oldham& in 2014 in order to spend less time in management meetings and more time being stimulated by real world client challenges.

Richard gets a buzz out of taking things apart to see how they work before putting them back together again in new & different ways. His philosophy is to seek out the thorniest challenges & then solve them with rigour, diplomacy & elegance.

  • Unilever-accredited Research Lead & Moderator since 2013.

As a loyal Guinness drinker he’s particularly proud of his work developing the first successful Guinness innovation in 30 years. The Brewhouse Series subsequently unlocked a new wave of Guinness innovation in Ireland, including the current Brewers Project.

When Richard isn’t away on business, he is often found with his family walking Elsie, their rescue deerhound.
